Charlevoix

Breathtaking views at every turn

Charlevoix occupies a territory of six thousand square kilometres at the heart of the Canadian Shield. Here, the sea and mountains meet to create a fabulous scenery. This spectacular mountain landscape was formed by the impact of a gigantic 15 billion ton meteorite that fell here 350 million years ago, creating a 56 kilometre wide crater. In 1988, the major part of the region was designated a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. All year round, Charlevoix is a much sought-after holiday destination, with a wealth of outdoor activities to enjoy.
