With more than 20 km of marked trails that connect the different sectors of the park, our network of walking paths is ideal for hikers of all skill levels. While crossing a rock formation or a footbridge, the nature will surprise you with its beauty. Stunning landscapes, falls, rapids and forests follow each other, even on the shortest sections. If you pay attention, maybe you will notice the most unseen wildlife specimens who live in the park... Picnic areas are available along the different hiking paths.

Three unique concepts: relaxation guaranteed

Along the Batiscan River, our shelters (lodging, cabins) have everything to please both lovers and families in search of tranquility and great outdoors experiences. The Pod will surprise you with its fun rounded shape and with its beautiful brightness. Le Perché (the Perched), high up, offers upstairs beds on mezzanines accessible by ladders. L'Islandais (The Icelandic), partially buried underground, has intimate access to large rocks on the shore. Without water or electricity, but comfortable and well equipped, a stay in one of our shelters is always a good pretext for laziness... or taking a walk in the forest.

For a stress-free nature experience

The perfect compromise between tent and cottage, our new 2020 "Ready to camp" allows you to stay in the wilderness without having to carry too much equipment. The Batiscan tents, the deluxe yurt and the prospector tent can accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. The equipment provided are: bed bases with mattresses, table/chairs, 2-round stove for outdoor cooking, cauldron/dishes/ utensils, electrical outlet for cell phone recharge as well as an auxiliary heating system in low season.

Grouped along a pedestrian walkway, the "Ready to Camp" can be reserved for a single unit or several at a time, for family or friend reunions.

The equipment included are :

• bed frames with mattresses,
• table/chairs,
• 2-burner propane stove, pans, crockery, utensils,
• electrical outlet to charge cellphones
• auxiliary heating in the off-season.

Brave the rock wall, the tree climbing adventure and the zipline over the waterfalls !

Fall back into childhood : climb trees, face the rock wall, jump into the void above water. Anyone can enjoy this challenge. The Via Ferrata takes place on a rock wall. The activity may look like rock climbing, but instead of climbing you are most of the time moving horizontally. The Via Ferrata Route is distinguished by its breathtaking landscapes along the river and its white rapids.

With its various adventure courses and geocaching activities, the Batiscan River Park's services are in line with the main measures of the Ministry of Education in terms of extracurricular activities (À l'école, on bouge!). We also offer several nature and interpretation activities. Our certified adventure guides and naturalist guides will entertain your students. Why not extend your stay by introducing your students to camping? Five group camping sites are available (rustic or developed).

Guided activities: Via ferrata, tree climbing, zip lines, geocaching, GPS rally, forest survival, wildlife workshop, mammal workshop, etc.

Independent activities: hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing. Covered picnic areas and easily accessible sanitary blocks.

By paying the access fees, families benefit from several free and/or priced guided and/or autonomous activities as well as special events.

Activities offered: three-service rustic camping, rental accommodations, access to the river, ford fishing, walking, mountain biking, guided high-altitude adventure course, geocaching, survival in the forest, guided wildlife activities (day and evening), storytelling and talks, adventure film projections, discovery room, posted animation table, snowshoeing.

Special events: Perseids, bioblitz.

Accessories and equipment: fatbike rental, crampon rental and snowshoe loan in winter.

Infrastructures: picnic shelters, picnic tables, drinking water station, playgrounds, trails accessible by stroller, baggage cart (exclusive to rental accommodations), washrooms and washrooms adapted for families.

Rustic but comfortable!

Combining the rustic environment with a minimum of comfort, the rustic cabins are sure to please you. Ideal to fully enjoy nature, the rustic cabins are located on an enchanting site along the river and can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. The equipment provided are: platform bed (mattress included), table, chairs and hooks. Outside: metal storage box to keep food away from animals, picnic table, fire pit and Adirondack chairs.
